Being surrounded on the north, the temple of Lord Gokarneswar, an ancient seat of Shaivism, on the south the Langudi hills, bearing magnificent Buddhist monuments, on the east, the National Highway N0.16 & commercial town of Jaraka & on the west, the Industrial Training Centre, the college is situated at a place having prominence in the cultural, spiritual, historical, commercial & industrial map of the state. Hence the location of the college naturally exercises a healthy & educative impact on the minds of the staff & the students.

For more than three decades, the college has been imparting Degree education with utmost care & sincerity, for which, students’ performances in University examinations every year are being widely acclaimed. Students of Philosophy Hons. have been occupying top positions in University examinations for consecutively last five years thereby setting a record in the history of the college since its inception.

The college has vast field for sports activities. All the laboratories are well equipped. The library & the reading room cater to the needs of the students & staff. For women students the college has separate common room, separate lavatory & hostel. Requisite supply of water & electricity to the college. Computer & Internet facilities are available in the college. Students are made Community
oriented through Nation building activities such as N.S.S. & Youth Red cross etc.

Every year the college organizes inter college debate, essay, Quiz and athletic competitions. Memorial lectures, guest lectures, study circles, memorial awards, college publications such as wall magazine, Annual College magazine, collaboration with N.G.O., Vocational education, Study tours, inter disciplinary symposia, State & National Level Seminars, which are available here, are conductive to a healthy academic atmosphere.
