After the 1st Cycle accreditation by NAAC in the year 2007, the college has made spectacular progress in all the spheres such as Honours students occupying top positions in University Examinations, introduction of vocational courses, well furnished library, laboratories and class rooms, availability of computers and internet facilities to students and staff, sports,cultural,N.S.S. & YRC activities, Remedial coaching classes, conduct of a good number of UGC sponsored state/national level seminars, more faculty members participating in national/international seminars, presenting papers and publishing books, strengthening of career counseling, grievance redressal, women harassment cells and alumni, two ladies hostels under construction on UGC fund etc.

It is a matter of pride for this institution that the college has got the 2nd cycle NAAC accreditation in the year 2015 and secured B. grade.

OPTION
A +3 1ST Yr. Arts pass student shall have to opt for one pass subject and one elective subject.
A +3 1ST Yr. Arts Hons student shall have to choose one elective subject.
A +3 1ST Yr. Arts student shall have no option for the elective subject related to his / her pass / Hons subject.
A +3 1ST Yr. Science pass student shall have to opt for two subjects as Pass A and Pass B and one minor elective subject.
A +3 1ST Yr. Science Hons student shall have to opt for one Pass subject.
A student having Botany / Zoology as Pass or Hons subject must opt for Math and Stastics as minor elective.
